Exploring other forms of reproduction and appropriation, the work The Uncertain State of Puerto Rico is a painted copy of a painting by the ex-first lady of Puerto Rico, Kate de Romero, which can be seen published in an 1984 article of the same title by The National Geographic. The work was presented in the 2da Gran Bienal Tropical in Piñones, Loíza (PR).

The works under the title Cocinando, are painted reproductions and menus taken from a cook-book published by the De Romero government titled Cocinando Desde La Fortaleza (1984).
